Friday Sept. 28:
Welcome to Germany! Check-in to your contemporary hotel, meet your Tour Managers, then join your fellow travelers for a walking tour of Munich's historic old town and learn how to use Munich's famed U-Bahn. The walking tour ends at the Oktoberfest where you can party til 1:00am.
Saturday Sept. 29: You have absolute freedom to enjoy the Oktoberfest during your stay. Be sure to check out the amazing carnival rides, vaudeville shows, and dozens of food and souvenir stands. This is Italian weekend, so singles should be prepared for excessive flirting! Depending on availability, your first Oktoberfest Beer Tent Reservation will be either today or tomorrow. (B,D)
Sunday Sept. 30: Enjoy a free concert performed by all Oktoberfest tent bands at the foot of the Bavaria statue. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, tent-hopping, or take an optional excursion to one of the many destinations easily accessible from Munich. Perhaps a 1/2 day trip toDachau Concentration Camp Memorial, or discover more of Munich through a guided Bicycle tour? (B)
Monday Oct. 01: Feel like getting away from Munich and the Oktoberfest craziness for awhile? Why not take a day-trip by train to the wonderfully romantic city of Salzburg, Austria , where the hills are alive with the sound of music? Salzburg is not only a famous movie set, it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Mozart. (B)
Tuesday Oct. 02: Tuesday is family day at Oktoberfest, where you’ll find reduced prices on rides and attractions until 6:00pm. You’ll enjoy your second Reservation in one of the incredible Oktoberfest Beer Tents either today or tomorrow, depending on availability. (B,D)
Wednesday Oct. 03: Unless your reservation is this afternoon, you have the entire day to spend at your leisure. Perhaps rent a bicycle and explore the Bavarian capital on two wheels, or join a tour through Munich's dark past when Hitler's Third Reich tried to take over the world. (B)
Thursday Oct. 04: Today is a great day leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and take a fascinating day-trip by train to the gorgeous Bavarian Alps for a tour of King Ludwig II's fairy-tale castle, Neuschwanstein. (B)
Friday Oct. 05: It’s time to say Auf Wiedersehen to Munich as you head for home or move on to another fascinating destination. (B)
