Friday Sept. 21:

Welcome to Germany! Check-in to your contemporary hotel, meet your Tour Managers, then join your fellow travelers for Bier und Brotzeit  in Munich's most famous Beer Garden, one of the largest of it's kind where the special brew has been served from wooden casks since the nintheenth century. Later, why not head over to das Wiesnzelt am Stiglmaierplatz where you can dance the night away? (D)

Saturday Sept. 22:
Watch the Grand Entry Parade of Oktoberfest Proprietors and Landlords as they make their way to the Theresienwiese. You’ll have to line up early if you want a seat in Schottenhamel, where the Mayor will tap the ceremonial first keg at noon, signifying the official beginning of Oktoberfest! Don’t forget that Oktoberfest is not only about beer, it is a massive community fair featuring amazing carnival rides and attractions, surrounded by a city rich with history. (B)

Sunday Sept. 23:
For a look into true Bavarian culture and tradition, one should not miss this morning’s Costume and Riflemen’s Parade. If you lead an alternative lifestyle, you’ll want to check out Rosa Wiesn in the Bräurosl tent. Your first Oktoberfest Tent Reservation will be this afternoon. (B,L)

Monday Sept. 24:
Feel like getting away from Munich and the Oktoberfest craziness for awhile? Why not take a day-trip by train to the wonderfully romantic city of Salzburg, Austria where the hills are alive with the sound of music? Salzburg is not only a famous movie set, it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Mozart. Perhaps an excursion to is not your thing? There is more than enough fun to be had back in Munich at the Oktoberfest. (B)

Tuesday Sept. 25:
Tuesday is family day at Oktoberfest, where you’ll find reduced prices on rides and attractions until 6:00pm. (B)

Wednesday Sept. 26:
You'll enjoy your second Reservation in one of the incredible Oktoberfest Tents today. (B,D)

Thursday Sept. 27:
Spend today at your leisure, perhaps by renting a bicycle and exploring the Bavarian capital on two wheels, or joining a tour to learn more about Munich's dark past when Hitler's Third Reich tried to take over the world. Or leave the hustle and bustle of the city and take a fascinating day-trip by train to the gorgeous Bavarian Alps for a tour of King Ludwig II's fairy-tale castle, Neuschwanstein. (B)

Friday Sept. 28:

It’s time to say Auf Wiedersehen to Munich as you head for home or move on to another fascinating destination. (B)
